The Engagement Module is supported by a generous charitable contribution from Avantor.

Building a lasting culture of sustainability in the lab, where people are empowered to make choices that best sustain their work and themselves, takes creativity, time, clear communication, and the freedom to interrogate our own actions. In this module we discuss how to empower and inspire scientists to successfully modify long held habits.

Lasting impact goes beyond changing the behavior of a few individuals. When done right, engaging a team can embed sustainability into the cultural fabric of an organization, lead to greater employee satisfaction, connect employees to an organization’s purpose, and foster innovation among team members.

With this module, we’ll review the science behind human behavior change so you can successfully engage your peers and colleagues in sustainability improvements. We’ll discuss typical barriers and how to overcome them, and share case studies on what has worked for successful green lab programs worldwide.
